Overview

BlogPilot AI helps merchants generate and manage blog content inside the Shopify admin. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and how merchants can contact us with privacy questions.

Information we process

To provide the app, we process store-related data such as store domain, app session data, generated blog drafts, usage records, and settings needed to run the app.

When merchants use AI features, prompts and generated outputs may be processed through the AI provider configured for the app.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate merchants, generate blog content, maintain app functionality, apply usage limits, store publishing data, improve reliability, and provide support.

Data sharing

We don't sell merchant data. We only share data with service providers that are needed to operate the app, such as hosting, database, and AI infrastructure providers.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the app.

Retention

We retain store data only for as long as needed to operate the app and meet legal or operational requirements. Merchants can request deletion after uninstalling the app.

Customer personal data (GDPR)

BlogPilot AI does not collect, store, or process personal data of a merchant's customers (buyers). The app operates on shop-level data only: shop domain, app session tokens, generated blog drafts, usage counters, and app settings.

We respond to Shopify's mandatory GDPR compliance webhooks as follows:

• customers/data_request — acknowledged with HTTP 200. There is no customer personal data to return because we never store it.
• customers/redact — acknowledged with HTTP 200. There is no customer personal data to erase.
• shop/redact — upon receipt (48 hours after uninstall) all shop-scoped records (sessions, shop plan, generated blogs, usage records, error logs) are purged from our database.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information processed by the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
